The Cabbage Patch 10 mile race is one of the flattest and fastest 10 milers in the country. 2014 will see the 21st anniversary of Richard Nerurkar all time British record of 46 mins 2 secs set at the 'Patch 10 in 1993. Starting and finishing in Twickenham the course follows a loop, crossing the River Thames at Kingston Bridge and Richmond Bridge. This race has sold out for the last seven years.

This year's Badminton Horseless Team Event will be the 31st time that the Rotary Club of the South Cotswolds will have held this annual event in the beautiful Badminton Park. Runners have a great opportunity to run over the world-famous Badminton Horse Trials obstacles. The event is split into three distances: 5 miles, 9 miles, and 13 miles; runners can compete as individuals or in teams, and this year we have added a Canni-X category. There is also a category for walkers so, whatever your interest and ability, you can be assured of an exciting and challenging day out.
Each year, the money raised from holding the event is donated to local organisations who come to enjoy the event with us and who provide valuable services. Money is also being raised by Rotary for Our Streets Our Children which supports disadvantaged children in Nepal.

This 10 Mile race is over an undulating course starting in Barby, and then passing through the villages of Kilsby, Hillmorton, Barby, Kilsby before returning to Barby. The course includes ‘Cart Hill’ after 6 miles which was part of the famous and former Rugby Marathon course.
This year the race will once again be the final race of the Warwickshire Road Race League, the Warwickshire CAA 10 mile Championship & the PSSA 10 mile Championship. In addition we are delighted to welcome the Midland Masters AC championship.The Rugby 10
|River Thames Half Marathon||Sunday October 5 2014|
The River Thames Half is a new half marathon over a flat, fast and visually interesting course along roads and Thames towpath in Surrey. It is a perfect preparation event if you are running New York, Amsterdam or Florence marathons or you want the challenge of running a half marathon.
The first six miles are on road, then runners will have a good view of Hampton Court Bridge before transferring onto the picturesque towpath to Weybridge. The final mile is on road when the runners will have a great view of the spectacular, new Walton Bridge, opened in July 2013, where the race finishes. Along the route there are water stations, mile markers and plenty of friendly marshals.
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female and also 1st veterans and super-veterans. There is also a prize for male and female teams, based on cumulative time.
There is ample car parking close to the start, toilets and baggage facilities. All finishers will receive a medal and goody bag.

A stunning woodland event held over the beautiful commons of Wisley and Ockham. The undulating course will wind you through the wonderful pine forests on this Surrey Wildlife Trust land.
The race is just a stones throw away from the M25 / A3 junction which is easily accessible and there is ample event parking at the Royal Horticultural Society's Gardens at Wisley.

The Tonbridge Half Marathon is now in its fourth year. It is organised jointly by Tonbridge Rotary Club and Tonbridge Lions with support from Tonbridge AC Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council. It is based at West Kent College in Tonbridge with its many excellent facilities. The Barns Green Half Marathon, near Horsham, West Sussex, is run on closed roads through the beautiful Sussex countryside, passing through the historic Christ’s Hospital school, where the school’s famous marching band will be playing. We also have a jazz band at the start/finish. Along the route there are water stations, distance markers, marshals and of course the support of all the locals and spectators. We provide a medal and goody bag for each finisher, secure baggage storage and free parking.
Fancy dress is welcomed and we offer £50 for the best fancy dress.
£250 cash prize for beating the present course record of 1 hour, 4 minutes and 28 seconds. Prizes are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th open male and female and also 1st and 2nd male and female in the veteran 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60+ categories. There is also a prize for male and female club teams, 3 to score, based on cumulative time.
All proceeds from the race are donated back to the local community.
This is the 32nd year that the race has been held and is recognised for being extremely well organised and won a Runners World award in 2012.

We will be using chip timing for the Half Marathon and 5k this year.
There will be full details in the information sent to all entrants before the race. A challenging and rewarding route through the leafy back roads of East Cheshire.
The Fun Run will start on the track straight after the 5k. The course will be about 1200m and will be entirely in the grounds of the athletics track. Entries will be taken on the day, cost £3.

A Cracking Little Yorkshire Run - A race for all enthusiasts; whatever your ability there is a warm welcome from the organisers, Wetherby Runners AC, with the support of Wetherby District Lions.The event is proud of its community base and attracts runners from local clubs from across the region as well as many unattached runners and joggers, together amounting to an entry of around 1000, who enjoy the friendly atmosphere. It's a season-opener for the runner looking forward to the autumn full or Half Marathons, a chance to check your pace maybe after a month off the speed work. 'Is it a PB course?' you ask. Well, maybe. There are just two short climbs over bridges linked by quiet lanes and tarmac paths through beautiful woodland. The course record stands at 31 mins 53 seconds by Darran Bilton in 2010 and the ladies record by Tracey Morris in 35 min 25 seconds in 2006. Also for all the family is the Mini Marathon, a 1.8 mile off road run which, like the 10k, starts and finished at Wetherby Race course. A welcome reward is a nice big tea mug. There are refreshments, ice creams and a Bouncy Castle.
