Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon Sunday September 14 2014

The Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon is an old fashioned kind of event, and these days quite unique.  It does not have a major sponsor and it is organised by real people giving of their own time for the benefit of their own community.

Please do not expect a Great North Run or similar style commercial event.  If you can understand the homemade-ness of this event you will have a fantastic time!

Also for all the family is the Mini Marathon, a 1.8 mile off road run which, like the 10k, starts and finished at Wetherby Race course. A welcome reward is a nice big tea mug. There are refreshments, ice creams and a Bouncy Castle. However, regardless of whether you are a club runner or a local jogger on the road to improving your fitness  ”The Wetherby Run” will bring with it rewards from the friendly atmosphere.
