This year for the first time the run will have accurate “chip timing”. It kicks off in exciting fashion, with the start area surrounded by a 30-foot main stage, and runners and spectators alike able to enjoy adult fair rides, stalls and bar. Things only get better after the run, with a 2-hour “Champagne and Showtime” event on the main stage.

Taking place on the evening of Friday 18th July on Newcastle’s famous Town Moor, the fast, flat run is open to all athletes aged 16 and over. They and their friends will be able to enjoy the stalls and main stage show for free.
