Saltwell 10k Saturday December 20 2014

A traffic-free, undulating, route with the registration and finish in Saltwell Park. There will be changing facilities available at Gateshead Leisure Centre. The presentation will be held at the registration area in the Park.

A traffic free route for the 10K with a finish in Saltwell Park. All Junior Races will be held within Saltwell Park. (Under 18′s must have parental/guardian consent)

Clowne Half Marathon Sunday November 23 2014

Clowne Road Runners present the 29th Clowne Half Marathon. this year's race is already full so there will be no entries permitted on the day. The route starts and finishes close to the Community Centre and the scenic route takes in the villages of Elmton, Creswell and Whitwell before returning to the finish.

The Stevenage Half Marathon is joined this year by a marathon. The half being one lap of the route and the full marathon being two. This will be a relatively flat route with small undulations on traffic free cycleways and through the attractive Fairlands Valley park.

Pain Barrier Saturday November 1 2014

The Pain Barrier at Parkwood is a 10km mud race set amongst 100 acres of off roading wood and parkland. The course twists and turns across a variety of terrain so you'll find yourself running along muddy tracks and open fields, through woodland, across ponds and water obstacles and tackling steep hills and ravines.

Prizes will be presented to the first 3 Women and first 3 Men as well as veteran prizes. The Pain Barrier Goody bag for all. Medal for all those who can break through the Pain Barrier. And a stack of other Goodies.

Also includes a 5k fun run. 1000 places for 10k and 100 for 5k. Entries on day only if still available, this race is increasing in popularity each year and uses part of the Fleet Half Marathon course. The Ricky Road Run Sunday October 26 2014

This year sees the 31st anniversary of the Ricky Road Run.The 10 mile race is held annually, starting and finishing at the Chorleywood Working Men’s Club. The race is suitable for all standards of runners, whether you run competitively or purely for fun. All proceeds from the event will be shared between the following three charities, Water Aid, Peace Hospice Care and Kit Aid.

Synthetix Run for the Homeless Sunday October 26 2014

Join us at the prestigious Olympic venue Dorney Lake, near Windsor, on Sunday the 26th of October and run a 5K or 10K race, benefiting homeless charity The London and Slough Run.

Suitable for runners of all ages and abilities, this promises to be a great fun day out and a chance to raise money for a great cause; each week The London and Slough Run distributes items such as food, drink, clothing, bedding and toiletries to over three hundred people who come along to the various distribution points situated on the streets of London and Slough.

If you’re an experienced runner, Dorney Lake’s flat, fast course is a great place to set a personal best.  If you’re not a runner and just want to run for the fun of it, this is the place to be!  With plenty of parking and a circuit which takes you along the official London 2012 Olympic rowing venue, Dorney is a historic location to run at.

Worksop Halloween Half Marathon Sunday October 26 2014

The race starts and finishes on Newgate Street, adjacent to the Worksop Town Hall. The course then leads out of town into the National Trust's Clumber Park.

Presentations will take place at the Market Place (fine weather) or  in the Town Hall (inclement weather), starting at 1pm.

Cabbage Patch 10 Sunday October 19 2014

The Cabbage Patch 10 mile race is one of the flattest and fastest 10 milers in the country. 2014 will see the 21st anniversary of Richard Nerurkar all time British record of 46 mins 2 secs set at the 'Patch 10 in 1993. Starting and finishing in Twickenham the course follows a loop, crossing the River Thames at Kingston Bridge and Richmond Bridge. This race has sold out for the last seven years.

Last year's run, which took place in October 2013, has helped to raise funds to keep the Herts Air Ambulance flying its life saving missions to the people of Hertfordshire.

River Thames Half Marathon Sunday October 5 2014

The River Thames Half is a new half marathon over a flat, fast and visually interesting course along roads and Thames towpath in Surrey. It is a perfect preparation event if you are running New York, Amsterdam or Florence marathons or you want the challenge of running a half marathon. 

The first six miles are on road, then runners will have a good view of Hampton Court Bridge before transferring onto the picturesque towpath to Weybridge. The final mile is on road when the runners will have a great view of the spectacular, new Walton Bridge, opened in July 2013, where the race finishes. Along the route there are water stations, mile markers and plenty of friendly marshals.

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female and also 1st veterans and super-veterans. There is also a prize for male and female teams, based on cumulative time.

There is ample car parking close to the start, toilets and baggage facilities. All finishers will receive a medal and goody bag.

Badminton Horseless Team Event Sunday October 5 2014

This year's Badminton Horseless Team Event will be the 31st time that the Rotary Club of the South Cotswolds will have held this annual event in the beautiful Badminton Park. Runners have a great opportunity to run over the world-famous Badminton Horse Trials obstacles. The event is split into three distances: 5 miles, 9 miles, and 13 miles; runners can compete as individuals or in teams, and this year we have added a Canni-X category. There is also a category for walkers so, whatever your interest and ability, you can be assured of an exciting and challenging day out.

Each year, the money raised from holding the event is donated to local organisations who come to enjoy the event with us and who provide valuable services. Money is also being raised by Rotary for Our Streets Our Children which supports disadvantaged children in Nepal.

The Rugby 10 (miles) Sunday October 5 2014

This 10 Mile race is over an undulating course starting in Barby, and then passing through the villages of Kilsby, Hillmorton, Barby, Kilsby before returning to Barby. The course includes ‘Cart Hill’ after 6 miles which was part of the famous and former Rugby Marathon course. 

This year the race will once again be the final race of the Warwickshire Road Race League, the Warwickshire CAA 10 mile Championship & the PSSA 10 mile Championship. In addition we are delighted to welcome the Midland Masters AC championship.

Pine Ridge 10K Saturday October 4 2014

A stunning woodland event held over the beautiful commons of Wisley and Ockham. The undulating course will wind you through the wonderful pine forests on this Surrey Wildlife Trust land.

The race is just a stones throw away from the M25 / A3 junction which is easily accessible and there is ample event parking at the Royal Horticultural Society's Gardens at Wisley.

We can only take 1000 entries for this event and we'd hate you to be disappointed so please do not delay your entry for too long.

Barns Green Half Marathon Sunday September 28 2014

The Barns Green Half Marathon, near Horsham, West Sussex, is run on closed roads through the beautiful Sussex countryside, passing through the historic Christ’s Hospital school, where the school’s famous marching band will be playing.  We also have a jazz band at the start/finish. Along the route there are water stations, distance markers, marshals and of course the support of all the locals and spectators.  We provide a medal and goody bag for each finisher, secure baggage storage and free parking. 

Fancy dress is welcomed and we offer £50 for the best fancy dress.

£250 cash prize for beating the present course record of 1 hour, 4 minutes and 28 seconds.  Prizes are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th open male and female and also 1st and 2nd male and female in the veteran 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60+ categories. There is also a prize for male and female club teams, 3 to score, based on cumulative time.

All proceeds from the race are donated back to the local community.

This is the 32nd year that the race has been held and is recognised for being extremely well organised and won a Runners World award in 2012.

Macclesfield Half Marathon & 5K Sunday September 28 2014

We will be using chip timing for the Half Marathon and 5k this year.

There will be full details in the information sent to all entrants before the race. A challenging and rewarding route through the leafy back roads of East Cheshire. 

The Fun Run will start on the track straight after the 5k. The course will be about 1200m and will be entirely in the grounds of the athletics track. Entries will be taken on the day, cost £3.

Moor Park 10K Sunday September 28 2014

This unique, traffic-free race is now in its thirteenth year and we would love you to come and help us celebrate this special anniversary. The 10K race is quite challenging but we hope the climb up the hill is rewarded not only by great views but also by the knowledge that every penny raised will go directly towards the provision of the services at the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre, the support and information service at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood. This family day also includes events for younger runners.

9th October We have now been through all the missing chip times looking at start photos for each runner courtesy of Sussex Sports Photography. For many we have found a photo and established a time. Our thanks too, to those of you who provided your own time information. There were some however who were not photographed at the start that we can’t establish a start time for. If you are one of these please contact us with any relevant information and we  still may be able to calculate one for you.

Tonbridge Half Marathon Sunday September 28 2014

The Tonbridge Half Marathon is now in its fourth year. It is organised jointly by Tonbridge Rotary Club and Tonbridge Lions with support from Tonbridge AC Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council. It is based at West Kent College in Tonbridge with its many excellent facilities. The traffic-free course follows an interesting and undulating route along country lanes through scenic Kent countryside around Tonbridge and Leigh, providing a test for runners of all abilities.

adidas Run Reigate Half Marathon Sunday September 21 2014

The adidas Run Reigate Half Marathon is a new and exciting half for Surrey and the South East, and kicking off from the unique setting of Priory Park in the beautiful and historic market town of Reigate.

Carefully planned by experienced local running enthusiasts, a very scenic and mostly flat 13.1 mile route will delight and challenge you and really showcase Reigate and our fabulous surroundings.   This is an ideal early Autumn community event which is strongly supporting local and very deserving charities.

There will be plenty of support, great viewing points and lots for families and friends to do on the day.  A Fitness and Food Festival in the park will feature many local sporting clubs, businesses and shops offering a wide range of sports, health and fitness activities, goods, services and delicious food and drinks.

Mayor's Charity Fun Run Sunday September 21 2014

Come and take part in The Mayor's Charity Fun Run on Sunday 21st September at Forty Hall. A fun day out for runners, walkers, families and friends where you can help raise money for the Mayor of Enfield's Charity Appeal Fund.

No matter what age or ability there is a walk or run for all to take part in and enjoy from 10am.
